President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to Nigeria after attending the 2026 Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week in the United Arab Emirates, where Nigeria signed a major economic partnership deal with the UAE.

The agreement, a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), is expected to boost trade, investment and cooperation in energy, infrastructure, agriculture, mining and renewable energy.

President Tinubu also announced that a Nigeria–UAE INVESTOPIA investment summit will be held in Lagos in February, as Nigeria targets $30bn annually in climate and green industrial financing.
